DTF vs Sublimation

Sublimation only bonds to polyester. DTF bonds to cotton, blends and dark fabrics — which is why most t-shirt shops start with DTF.

Choose DTF if

More than half your orders are cotton or dark garments.

Choose Sublimation if

You print sportswear, mugs or all-over polyester and rarely touch cotton.

The short answer

Most shops that print both cotton and polyester end up running both. If you can only buy one, buy DTF — it covers the wider order mix.
